Trochus sp. – Versatile algae eater for your reef aquarium

The Trochus sp. is a popular and robust snail for saltwater aquariums. It reliably removes various types of algae, thus actively contributing to the cleanliness and stability of the tank.

Characteristics:

• Wide food spectrum: Eats filamentous algae, diatoms and growth

• Reefsafe: No danger to corals, shrimp or other invertebrates

• Self-righting: Can usually turn over again after a fall

• Breeding available: Partly from controlled aquarium breeding instead of wild catch

• Decorative shell: Usually spiral-shaped, reddish-brown or grey patterned

Recommended use:

• Approx. 1 snail per 40–50 liters of aquarium volume

• Requires sufficient algae and biofilm as a food source
