The 2022 TWIN "Ruby" comes from SciReef's innovative coral breeding program in Wilhelmshaven. Unlike classic imported corals, this Acropora was raised as a larva in Germany and then propagated as a TWIN offspring. This means it has been adapted to aquarium conditions since its creation and is often significantly more robust than freshly imported wild or farm corals.

The Ruby is considered an uncomplicated and fast-growing Acropora millepora within the SciReef range. It tolerates moderate nitrate and phosphate levels in established reef aquariums and is therefore ideal for aquarists who want to gain their first experience with SPS corals. Nevertheless, it benefits from stable water parameters, good flow, and a balanced supply of calcium, magnesium, and carbonate hardness.
