NRG #1 is an organic follow-on nutrient that can be used in conjunction with the BASIS system to feed well-stocked and rapidly growing SPS/LPS mixed aquariums, LPS aquariums, or anemone tanks. The organic micronutrients primarily aim to provide the corals with efficient energy supply, which has a very positive effect on the polyp appearance and, in particular, the coral color development.
Particularly in a radiation-intensive light environment in the short-wave UV-near and violet spectral range, the NRG #1 provides quickly available metabolic energy in order to be able to draw on sufficiently high energy reserves for tissue and skeletal growth (calcification) even in the event of existing radiation stress.
The NRG #1 active ingredients have a visibly positive effect on the fleshy tissue of large-polyp stony corals (LPS) and anemones (Zoanthus, Ricordea, Rhodcatis, etc.). Furthermore, depending on the lighting environment, multiple fluorescences are also developed and pronounced in LPS and SPS stony corals.
The positive effect on general nutrient degradation and microbial and species diversity is also pronounced in the NRG system and offers all the ecological benefits characteristic of the SANGOKAI nutrient supply.<br />
Before using the NRG system, the BASIS system should be established for at least six months to allow the aquarium to become accustomed to the extensive organic nutrient supply and to optimally develop all aquarium biological processes.
