Royal Nature Phosphate Professional Test

Phosphorus is one of the basic building blocks of living matter. It is present in every living organism and is identified as PO4 in the water of every reef tank. Sources of PO4 come in significant concentrations from fish feed. A single feeding of 5 grams of flakes in a 200-gallon tank can increase PO4 levels by 0.2 ppm! As a result, the fish excrete much of the PO4 they ingested with their feed as waste. Tap water can also be a significant source of phosphate, which should be avoided by using RO/DI water.

The phosphate level in natural seawater is approximately 0.06 ppm. However, in coral reef areas, this value is significantly lower; concentrations typically range from 0.01 to 0.02 ppm. The Royal Phosphate Test Kit can determine phosphate levels using a finely tuned color chart with a concentration range of 0.05, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 1, 3, and 5 ppm.

The Royal Nature Phosphate Test Kit is a two-step process that uses an indicator and a powder reagent. Since the PO4 level in natural seawater is around 0.06 ppm, it was important to us to provide hobbyists with the ability to monitor this level within a usable range. This demonstrates how important it is for hobbyists to detect PO4 levels starting at 0.06, which is the level found in NSW and the North... these small intervals in the table provide insight into the accuracy of the test, as we decided to offer the hobbyist a much better range and accuracy.

Test instructions - only 2 steps

Caution! Before each use, ensure that the test vial or measuring spoon is washed only with RO water and dried with a soft paper towel.

The results of the Royal Phosphate Professional test kit are in PPM.
Each kit contains 100 tests.

Only 2 steps:
1. Add 5 ml of aquarium water into the test tube using the 5 ml syringe.
2. Add 1 level measuring spoon of PO4 - 1 reagent into the test cuvette and swirl gently for 10 seconds.
3. Add 5 drops of PO4-2 into the test cuvette and swirl gently for 10-20 seconds.
4. Let stand for 1 minute.
Hold the test cuvette next to the supplied color chart on a white part of the chart and compare the colors as seen from the side of the test cuvette. Read the corresponding phosphate content. A medium color corresponds to a medium phosphate content.
