Lysmata wurdemanni – Natural Aiptasia Control for Marine Aquariums
The Lysmata wurdemanni is a useful yet attractive shrimp used in many saltwater aquariums for the biological control of Aiptasia (aiptasia). It is peaceful, reef-safe, and also a visual asset to any reef tank.
Characteristics:

Eats Aiptasia: Supports the control of Aiptasia naturally

Reefsafe: Compatible with corals and most fish and invertebrates

Social: Often stays in small groups

Attractive: Transparent to reddish-brown body with fine, white stripes

Size: Usually 4–6 cm body length
Keeping conditions:

Suitable for aquarium volumes of approximately 50 litres or more

Prefers hiding places between stones or corals

Peaceful towards conspecifics and other shrimp as long as there is enough space

Stable water values and a varied diet (e.g. frozen food) are recommended
