Lysmata amboinensis – Skunk Cleaner Shrimp

Description

This cleaner shrimp is not only decorative but also performs an important function in the aquarium. It removes parasites, dead skin particles, and food remnants directly from fish, thereby actively contributing to the health of the entire aquarium.

Behavior and Husbandry

Lysmata amboinensis is peaceful, robust, and well-suited for reef aquariums. It can be kept alone, in pairs, or in small groups. Its calm yet active behavior makes it an interesting addition to any saltwater aquarium.

Note

During molting, the shrimp may temporarily hide and appear less active. This process is normal and important for its growth.
