Chromis retrofasciata – Blackbar Chromis

Color: Yellowish to greenish body with a distinctive black band behind the head

Size: Up to approx. 6 cm body length

Behavior: Peaceful schooling fish, mainly stays in the middle area of the aquarium

Social behavior: Best kept in small groups; appears more natural and shows active schooling behavior
Care instructions:
The Blackbar Chromis is robust and relatively easy to care for. It requires a well-structured aquarium with sufficient swimming space and hiding places. The species primarily feeds on plankton and readily accepts frozen and dry food in the aquarium.

Important note: According to the Austrian Animal Welfare Act, a minimum volume of 200 liters is required for keeping Chromis retrofasciata. Keeping them below this size is not legally permitted.
