Turbo fluctuosus is a robust, useful marine snail for effective algae control in reef aquariums. It is particularly popular with aquarists because it reliably removes various types of algae, thus contributing to a stable biological balance.

Characteristics:

• Effective algae eater: Eats mainly filamentous algae and growth

• Robust & adaptable: Suitable for different pool sizes

• Decorative housing: Thick-walled and attractively patterned

• Reefsafe: Compatible with corals and other aquarium inhabitants

• Size: Usually 3–5 cm shell diameter

Recommended use:

• Approx. 1 snail per 50 liters of aquarium volume

• Requires sufficient growth (algae) as a food source

• Stable substrate and not too fine sand recommended so that the snail can move safely
